Tonight I'll be continuing with photos of
my trip to Sandwich; I apologize if it seems
like they're taking forever (I haven't even got
up to Nantucket yet!), but I have over 300
and I'd really like to share them all with you!
So, please, just bear with me :p
Next morning's cup of coffee... cute cup, eh?
In my monogrammed robe!
Assorted fruit... yum.
Tomato and scallion egg white omelet
on an English muffin half... dee-licious!
After breakfast, we walked directly across
the street to the Sandwich Glass Museum . . .
Glassware on display
After the museum, we took a drive out on 6A
and stopped at Titcomb's Bookshop . . .
The beautiful house attached
The charming little shop
(I loved the way the books resting
on the open window sill looked!)
After we browsed through the bookshop
and a bought a couple of items (I found
an old written-in baby book, and Tasha
Tudor note cards!), we headed east to
gorgeous Yarmouthport and stopped at
The Friday Club for some strawberry shortcake . . .
The Friday Club
Our adorable table ♥
Mom ready to dig in!
(I wanted that tablecloth so badly!)
Then, later that evening, we went to Hyannis to
hop on board Cape Cod Central Railroad's
Elegant Dinner Train! ♥. . .
Awaiting the train...
Here it comes!
Yup, that's the one!
Our assigned car, "Sandy Neck"
Our lovely table
New England Clam Chowder
Stuffed Salmon Florentine
(it was so good!)
Enjoying the sights during dinner
(it was a bit rainy out, but I thought it
only added to the coziness!)
See what I mean? :)
And, finally, the Third Course:
Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake
(I don't even have to tell you how good that was!)
My verdict on the dinner train?...
Worth every single penny!

and dinner in Yarmouthport... next post!
